Yep, parrots are remarkably intelligent. It's been estimated that the intelligence of the larger species is equivalent to that of a human child between the ages of two and four.
I've had the pleasure of living with parrots for six months now (they belong to my roommate), and one of them can have actual conversations, albeit simple ones. However, you do have to work with them consistently to train them to talk and interact.
Also, anyone who wants to get a parrot should be aware that they are LOUD, MESSY, and DEMANDING. You have to spend A LOT of time with them or else they get crabby and scream or, worse, bite. Thousands of abused and neglected parrots are abandoned to shelters and rescue foundations every year because their owners couldn't care for them properly. Just something to think about before you take on the responsibility of caring for a bird. To be honest, as much fun as my roommate's parrots are, after seeing how much work she does, I'm not sure I'd get one for myself.

Thanks for posting this, that parrot is amazing, I don't think I've seen anything like that in my life before.
BTW, you'll probably get more comments on our blog if you open them up to everybody.
